we had a new teacher yesterday - mr B himself! (no, not Boaz, of Ruth, but note the similarities in name... heheh.)
it was great to work through the 2nd chapter of Ruth from the three main characters' perspective - the bitter, now hopeful Naomi, the righteous, and kind Boaz, and the humble, obedient Ruth. and praying and sharing together in a larger group of brothers and sisters was a good experience as well!
here's a link to John Piper's series of sermons on Ruth. I found them especially useful in seeing the book of Ruth as a whole. He suggests that the main lesson of Ruth is this -

Anyways for those who missed this tuesday's DG but would like to hear more from Mr B, dun miss out next week's study.. apparently it's juicier..=p (I wonder what title Mr B would come up with this time..=p)
